Gonzales High School Spartan Varsity Football team invaded Rabobank stadium on Friday Sept 20, 2019 with the intention of ruining the North Salinas Vikings Homecoming plans.

Gonzales Spartan Varsity faced off vs the Soledad Aztecs for the Heritage Trophy in what is dubbed a “Rivalry” game. Gonzales Spartans defended their home turf with a 14-10 win to hang on to the Heritage Trophy for an additional year!

Gonzales Spartan Varsity won their first home game of the season vs the visiting Pacific Grove Breakers. Pacific Grove came out swinging, striking first blood, but in the end the cool nerves of the Spartans survived the crashing wave of Breakers and dried up their shores onto a 34 – 13 win
