Gonzales High School Varsity Football played the Carmel Padres in the second round of the CCS Division 5 playoffs on November 24th. The game had to be moved to MPC in anticipation of the crowds and it turned out to be a good move as practically half the town of Gonzales showed up and filled up the stadium. The visitors side was standing room only and the GHS crowd spilled over to the home side as well.

The Gonzales Spartans Varsity Football team hosted it’s first playoff game in 15 years against the Saratoga Falcons. The atmosphere was electric and the home crowd showed up in huge numbers.

Gonzales Varsity Spartan Football team completed it’s undefeated season vs the Harbor Pirates on November 2nd 2018. The Pirates came out with all guns blazing and managed to score in the first quarter while slowing the offense down. Spartan grit and cool nerves prevailed as the score ended up 54 – 7.

Gonzales Spartans secured the first PCAL Santa Lucia Championship with a win over RLS. The Spartans brought their record to 9 – 0, with a 41 – 10 victory at Stevenson school in Pebble Beach.
