Gonzales Junior Varsity showed signs of life and won their second contest of the season, bringing their record to 2-5! The mostly Freshman team showed some experience and brought a stingy defense to the breakers resulting in their 2nd shutout.
Gonzales Spartans Varsity Football team (now 4-2) got back on the win column against the Greenfield Bruins winning 53 – 9.
Fabian Acosta had a marquee game accounting for the majority of the scoring. Fabian had 6 touchdowns with an effort that included scoring through ground, air, and on special teams! The Defense played stingy allowing 9 points in a mostly one sided affair. To their credit, the Bruins fought hard to the end, but ultimately lost to the Spartan forces.

Gonzales Varsity Spartans faced the Soledad Aztecs on October 9th, 2015. The Spartans were outmatched losing 21-3 and dropping their second league game of the season. After a hot 3-0 start, they now stand at 3-2.
JV Spartans dropped their 4th game of the season against the Aztecs. The score was 39 – 6, as they drop to 1-4 on the season.
