Gonzales Spartans marched into Greenfield on Oct 22, 2017 to take on the Bruins on their home field. The game was a violent one with plenty of loud hits that amazed the crowds. Emotions were high as there was a lot of talking going on, but both teams kept the game within the rules for the most part and played their hearts out. GHS Spartans proved to be too much for the Bruins and went home with the victory, 28 – 14
