Gonzales Spartan Varsity Football team honored it’s seniors on Oct 19, 2018. It was the last regular season home game for 12 seniors on the team, and they went out with a blast, scoring 3 touchdowns in the first quarter alone. 4 more scores were added in the second quarter and when it was all done, the score was 62 – 7.

The dominant performance by the Spartans was capped off with Payton Flores breaking the previous rushing record held by Dr. Ignacio Guzman. Payton now has 1643 yards and two games to add more to the total.

The Spartans continue their pursuit of a league championship vs RLS nex Saturday.
