Gonzales Spartans defended their home territory vs the winless Soledad Aztecs. The game started out with Soledad dancing on the G while their coaches cheered along and filmed it on their phones. It turns out it was the last time they would hold the heritage trophy that night.

The game was 20-7 at halftime and stayed that way with Soledad holding a punt fest and Gonzales mostly milking the clock, content with with a 2 score lead. In the 4th quarter, the Asstecs surprised Gonzales with a score to make it 20-13 but the game remained out of reach as it had been all game long.
