Gonzales High School Football Varsity team invaded MPC to spoil the Marina Mariners homecoming. The Spartans imposed their game plan and ended the night with a 44 – 0 victory over the host team.

Payton Flores ran for 197 yards on 11 carries and scored to touchdowns. Raul Morales threw for 106 yards and one touchdown, and also added to touchdowns on the ground to finish the night with 3 scores. Not to be outdone, Franky Cisneros added 2 more of his own, one through air and one by land.

On Defense Nael Vasquez finished with 10 tackles and a sack, followed by Michael Rosas and Jayson Flores with 5 tackles a piece. Miguel Arreola and Jose Lopez registered sacks of their own as the defense shut down the Mariners to under 20 yards total offense.

Things get serious for the Spartans as they prepare for the 91st meeting vs hated rival King City.
